Designer Rooms

Inspired by the organic forms of the native flora and fauna, the hotel’s façade resembles local shells, while driftwood handicrafts by Costa Rican artisans hang on the walls, and the local plant caña brava peppers the public spaces. The chic details found throughout the hotel include lamps inspired by the nests of oropendola, a bird endemic to the area.

Rio Bhongo menu is inspired by a local farmer’s market and Latin cuisine. Finally, Ostra is elegant, discreet and romantic, offering seafood.

What we love

• Lined with infinity pools and jicaro trees, the hotel’s grand entryway frames views of the bay
• Nonalcoholic minibar items, sun hats, and beach bags are all complimentary
• The cocktails at Chao Pescao are prepared by an expert mixologist (try the gin-and-tonic in a rosemary-smoked glass)
• The hotel has a full-service spa, offering a menu of massages, body treatments, and facials. Book the Onda Cambio treatment in one of the spa’s nine private treatment rooms
• There is plenty of other attractions here. Three beaches, world-class golf, and extensive activity program ensures that you can do as much or as little as you like

What you should know

• Andaz Papagayo is well suited for families with children. There is a kids club offering activities such as nature walks, snorkeling and Spanish class for kids aged four to twelve. All restaurants provide menus with items for children that are free for children up to age five.
• The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools, a steam room, and a 24-hour fitness center
• Andaz Costa Rica is happy to accommodate guests traveling with pet (though they are prohibited inside the restaurants)
• This resort is located Culebra, close to the Marina Papagayo and Hermosa Bay Beach. There are two National Parks in the area: the Palo Verde and the Rincon de la Vieja
