• The hotel has been designed for couples and families with children over 16
• The Balé is not for those looking for a traditional Balinese décor
• No direct access to the beach, though a golf buggy transport takes just two minutes
• Some villas are set too close to the street and the passing cars can be heard from inside
• There is a lot of stairs, which can be physically challenging for some
• The hotel has limited sea view
• The Bale is located on a hill in the enclave of Nusa Dua, on the Bukit peninsula—the nearest town with bars and shops is 30 minutes by car
