Set in the heart of this vibrant district, the award-winning Town Hall Hotel & Apartments is a stylish conversion of ninety-eight stunning guestrooms and apartments, a Michelin-starred restaurant (Viajante, with a celebrated chef Nuno Mendes at the helm), and excellent meeting facilities, including the original Council Chambers.

A harmonious blend

The grand Edwardian facade in fine stone, complete with tower and cupola, hides contemporary and Art Deco-inspired interiors.

Clean, organic lines coexist with Edwardian classic architecture, and the latest technology and cutting-edge furnishings sit alongside some retro pieces from the 50s and 60s.

Many of the building’s original features were kept, such as the sweeping central staircase. Sculptures by Henry Poole and newly commissioned art by London’s most exciting young artists adorn the walls.

Unique rooms and apartments

Every guestroom and apartment is different and each one has been given a focal point with a unique, vintage piece of fully restored furniture.

Whether it is a contemporary loft chic or Edwardian grandeur traditional room, all apartments come with a superbly appointed kitchen, comfortable bedroom, and sitting areas—as well as a flat-screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi.

What we love

• Architectural splendor of the marble staircase in reception and truly stunning meeting space, the Council Chamber;

• The Viajante restaurant serves unforgettable, delicious and exciting food—and the super stylish Viajante Bar is a great place for pre-dinner cocktails;
• The latest luxury technology in all rooms provided as standard—as well as complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel;
• Turn-down service with the handmade truffles;
• Complimentary X-box, games and DVD library is available at reception for the guests;
• Free Shuttle Service to Financial District (in rush hour).

What you should know

• No spa on-site, however, in-room massages can be organized with the concierge;
• The hotel is a bit out of the way—through it’s just a two-minute walk to Bethnal Green underground tube station, and the Liverpool Street station is one tube stop away. The hotel lies close to trendy Columbia Road, numerous bars, restaurants, and galleries;
• A taxi to Heathrow airport from the hotel will take around 50 minutes, but it's best to allow longer in busier times of the day.
